Black Nebula Carrot Seeds (Organic)
Black Nebula is an heirloom carrot with long, tapered roots that are deep purple from skin to core. The roots have an earthy flavor and retain much of their color when cooked. Use them fresh, roasted, steamed, juiced, or as a source of natural purple dye.
Sow directly in loose, deeply worked soil in full sun. Keep the seedbed evenly moist during germination, then thin seedlings to about 2 inches apart so the roots can develop without crowding. Consistent moisture helps produce straighter, more tender roots. Harvest at about 75–80 days, or when roots reach the size and flavor you prefer. Plants left to overwinter may flower in their second season, producing white umbels edged with lavender.
